Common questions
My overtime looks wrong
Check three things in Settings → your profile. First, which overtime rules are switched on — weekly only, daily only, or both. Second, the day your workweek starts: that is set by your employer and is what the weekly count runs over, and it often does not match the pay period. Third, whether a shift that starts before midnight has been logged on the right day; WageFuse books a shift under the day it starts.
Why is an hour not paid at both daily and weekly overtime?
Because it would be paid at a premium twice. Hours already paid as daily overtime are not counted again towards the weekly threshold — the common, non-pyramiding reading of the rules.
The app expected more than my paystub shows, but the difference is only a few cents
Payroll systems round in their own way. WageFuse rounds each line to the cent, half-up, once. A gap of a cent or two is usually rounding rather than a mistake.
I left a box empty in the audit — did that count as zero?
No. An empty box means “my paystub does not show this” and that line is reported as “not on stub” rather than compared. That is deliberate: an audit should not invent a discrepancy.
How do I move my records to a new iPhone?
Settings → Export a backup, save the file somewhere you can reach from the new phone, then Settings → Restore from a backup there. Restoring adds to what is already on the phone and deletes nothing.
I bought Pro and it is not showing
Settings → Restore purchase, signed in to the Apple Account you bought it with. Pro is a one-time purchase, so it is not affected by subscription renewals.
Can I use it if I am not an electrician?
Yes. Nothing in the calculations is specific to one trade — the rules are the ones you enter. It was written with electricians in mind because their pay has the most moving parts.
