Tintaq

Privacy policy

The short version

Tintaq has no server, no account and no analytics. Everything you enter stays on your device. We cannot see your clients' data, and neither can anyone else.

What the app stores, and where

Client names and contact details, answers to the health questions, photos of identity documents where you choose to take them, drawings on the body chart, signatures, and the generated PDFs. All of it lives in the app's own container on your device, protected by iOS file encryption and, when you leave it on, by Face ID or your passcode.

What leaves the device

Only what you send yourself: a PDF you share, print or email, and a backup file you save to Files or iCloud Drive. Those go where you send them, under Apple's terms or your mail provider's, not ours.

What we collect

Nothing. No account, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers, no third-party SDKs. The App Store privacy label says "Data Not Collected" because that is literally true.

Camera, photos and Face ID

The camera is used only to photograph an identity document for a form; the photo goes straight into the app and never into your camera roll. Photo library access is used only when you pick an existing image or your studio logo. Face ID is used only to unlock the app and to leave client mode; the biometric data never reaches the app — iOS only answers yes or no.

Purchases

Payments are handled by Apple. Tintaq asks Apple whether this Apple ID owns the unlock and gets back yes or no. We never see your name, card or address.

Your clients' rights

Under the GDPR the studio is the controller of its clients' data. Tintaq is the tool, not a processor, because the data never reaches us. When a client asks to be erased, delete them in the app: the record, the signatures and the ID photo go with them.

Children

Tintaq is a tool for professionals and is not directed at children. A client under 18 is recorded with a guardian's signature where the law allows the procedure at all.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date below changes with it, and a material change will be mentioned in the app's release notes.
