Mentryq
Privacy Policy
Effective September 19, 2026
Mentryq is made by Olexandr Zhovnir. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the Mentryq app for iPhone. The short version: Mentryq collects nothing about your equipment or how you use the app. Two things reach one third party, RevenueCat, and are described below: your Pro purchase and, once per install, which Apple Ads campaign brought you.
Your data stays on your device
The equipment, maintenance schedules, meter readings, service history, costs, notes, photos and documents you add are stored only on your iPhone. Mentryq has no account and no server of its own, and it does not send this information anywhere. It is included in your device backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) according to your own backup settings, which are managed by Apple.
What we do not do
- No usage analytics, crash reporting or advertising in the app.
- No tracking: the advertising identifier is never read and there is no tracking prompt.
- No selling of information.
Camera and photos
If you choose to photograph a machine or scan a receipt, the camera is used only for that picture, and the picture is saved inside the app on your device. Photos you pick from your library are chosen through the system photo picker; Mentryq only receives the photos you select.
Notifications
Maintenance reminders are scheduled locally on your iPhone. No notification content leaves the device.
Purchases and RevenueCat
Mentryq Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your name, email or payment details. Whether Pro is unlocked is decided on your device by Apple's StoreKit. The app also contains the RevenueCat SDK in observer mode, so that the owner can see how many people subscribe: RevenueCat is told about your purchase or restore under a random app user ID that is not linked to your name, email or Apple Account. It receives purchase records (product, price, date, country) and nothing about your equipment. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
Apple Ads attribution
Once per install, the app asks Apple for an AdServices attribution token and passes it to RevenueCat, which asks Apple which Apple Ads campaign, ad group and keyword led to the install, if any. The token contains no personal information. Mentryq never reads the advertising identifier and does not show an App Tracking Transparency prompt: nothing is combined with data from other companies' apps or websites.
Deleting your data
You can delete any machine, maintenance item or service record in the app. Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device.
Children
Mentryq is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
